Step-by-step method

   Soil

   Make it soft, stone- and clod-free to a foot deep. Adding sand helps.

   Soak

   Soak 6–8 hours then dry the seed for faster sprouting.

   Sow

   Rows 8 inches apart, half an inch deep, covered thinly.

   Moisture

   Keep constantly damp until sprouting — a light straw or jute cover helps.

   Thin

   At 2 inches keep one every 2–3 inches; stay on top of weeds.

   Harvest

   At 80–100 days, when orange shoulders show, loosen the soil and lift.

🌱 General care: weed around the base once plants grow and water whenever the soil starts to dry.
